Mindfulness and Self-Compassion: A 5-Day Silent Retreat Sponsored by CMSC, Petaluma, United States

with Beth Sternlieb and David Spound

January 15, 2017 - January 20, 2017

Course Navigation

We invite all who have completed a Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) course to join us for 5 days in which we will deepen our meditation practices and take time to nourish our minds, bodies, and hearts. All MSC graduates are welcome, including those who are new to the practices, those who have practiced in depth, and those who teach MSC.

We will work together with intention, gentleness, and kindness. Our days will have themes such as “mindfulness”, “loving-kindness” and “compassion”.  There will be guided meditations, evening talks, meetings with teachers, and time for asking questions. While many practices will be familiar (including the core meditations from MSC), this retreat offers a special opportunity to practice for an extended period of time, in Noble Silence, in a beautiful environment, in community, and with the support of experienced teachers.

There will also be ample time to enjoy the beautiful grounds and delicious food of the retreat center.

This retreat will fulfill the silent meditation retreat requirement for those interested in training to teach MSC.
