This Live Online Teacher Training (LOTT) is Step 1 of the Teacher Training Pathway and includes the following elements:

Continuing Education Credits will be offered for US certified psychologists, therapists and nurses. (Please see the list below for details.)
In order to receive CE credits, you must attend all the Teacher Training Sessions. No credit is given for partial attendance. You will also need to fill out the online Evaluation after the training completes. CE Certificates will be emailed about a month after the program completes.
This program is sponsored by UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness. The UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness maintains responsibility for this program and its content. This course offers 32.0 CE credit.
This activity is an approved continuing education program by the American Psychological Association. 32.0 CE credit may be applied to your license renewal through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. For those licensed outside California, please check with your local licensing board to determine if CE credit is accepted.
UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP16351, for 38.25 contact hours.

If you cancel by August 23, 2021, you will be refunded all monies paid except the $300 non-refundable application fee. Refunds may take up to 60 days to receive.

CMSC is not responsible for any miscellaneous expenses incurred by trainees. Should this program be cancelled by CMSC for any reason, CMSC will refund all monies paid.
Time Zone Conversion and Course Time Zone Schedule
By virtue of being online, the LOTT draws trainees from all around the globe. Different regions and time zones may shift at different times during the 12-week LOTT. CMSC uses UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) to anchor the time for these programs.

Mila De Koning – Live Online Teacher Trainer
Mila de Koning is a social therapist, nurse and mindfulness and compassion teacher. She has a long professional experience working in (mental) health care with groups. And she worked as a teacher for healthcare professionals.
Since 2011 her focus is mainly on mindfulness and compassion and she started working for the Vrije Universiteit Medical Centre where one of her main roles was to bring mindfulness and self-compassion to healthcare. Currently she works as teacher and teacher trainer at the Centrum voor Mindfulness in Amsterdam. She teaches mindfulness and MSC courses and is also a teacher trainer for mindfulness and for mindful self-compassion. One of her great aspirations is to bring mindfulness to healthcare, especially for doctors and other healthcare professionals.
David Spound – Live Online Teacher Trainer
David Spound, M.Ed., is the Director of Valley Mindfulness (in Northampton, MA, USA) and is a certified teacher and teacher trainer of both Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). David has been teaching mindfulness since 2005 with his own company and on behalf of other organizations including the UMass Center for Mindfulness, the UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness, and the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. With the CMSC, David leads MSC courses, MSC Teacher Training, Mentoring Sessions for new teachers, Silent Meditation Retreats, Teacher Certification Review, courses on how to teach online, the 8-month online Community for Deepening Practice course, and the Ultimate Courage Men’s Workshop. With Valley Mindfulness, he teaches MSC, MBSR, and sees private clients. From 2006 through 2013, David was a staff member of the UMass Center for Mindfulness where he taught MBSR and managed the “Oasis” MBSR Teacher Training and Certification Program. For David, his work as a teacher, teacher trainer, and mentor is a true labor of love.
Christine Grace McMulkin – Program Online MSC Teacher
Christine is a Certified MSC Teacher, a Teacher Training Practicum Trainer, Teacher in Training Zoom Host, and a Teacher of MSC both through the Live Online Teacher Training Program and the Live Online MSC program. Christine also delivers the MSC program through the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto, as well as within her role as a Mental Health and Wellbeing Counselor in a large Medical Centre. Christine is a seasoned mental health clinician, with a Masters of Social Work from University of Toronto and a Masters of Science in Rehabilitation Counselling from Boston University. Christine was a faculty member, master trainer and field associate with Boston University’s Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation for many years. Christine is deeply invested in cultivating beloved communities and treasures her affiliation with the Center for Mindful Self Compassion. She brings warmth, calmness, humility and a quiet strength to her teaching.
Rose Mina Munjee – Program Online MSC Teacher
Rose Mina Munjee is a Registered Psychotherapist, certified mindfulness facilitator of Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Rose Mina is a corporate trainer, technology consultant, and restorative/therapeutic yoga teacher. She also teaches and mentors others at The Center for Mindfulness Studies, University of Toronto, Mindful Wellness, Royal Victoria Hospital, CAMH, and several organizations including MasterCard Foundation, Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance, and IBM. Rose Mina’s passion is mindfulness practice and teaching. These practices have transformed her life. Rose Mina facilitates for the Circles of Practice and the BIPOC MSC practice group. She also has a private practice and does clinical work in Hospital settings for staff and patients in trauma informed spiritual care and psychotherapy. Her focus is on trauma informed care, somatic practices including craniosacral techniques, and cultivating greater diversity, inclusivity, and belonging for marginalized populations.
