This is our third year running our self-compassion book club! The more we dive into the MSC Workbook, the richer our experience. We warmly invite all Graduates of the Mindful Self-Compassion (8 week or 5 day) programmes to join us for 12 weeks of personal reflection and group discussion.
Each week we explore 2 or 3 chapters of the book. We share our insights, our challenges and how our awareness has grown. We do not teach the course, rather we investigate new discoveries as we explore the workbook with fresh eyes and beginners mind.
We have found this way of deepening our MSC understanding and practice to be enriching and deeply rewarding for all those who take up the baton! We hold the group with the same caring Guiding Principles as we do all our MSC trainings. This is a safe and confidential space to ask questions, share difficulties and receive companionship on the ever-continuing adventure that is our compassionately messy life!
We do hope you will join us for this wonderful opportunity to nourish our hearts and marinate in our common humanity.

Self-Compassion Book Clubbers shared their experience:
The MSC book club has been an immensely rich and helpful experience for me. Guided by the exceptional KMA tutors Kathryn Lovewell and Liz Walker, it facilitates deep personal reflection on the contents of the MSC course handbook in a very warm, safe and supportive environment.
For myself, after decades of self-development and several years of meditation, the MSC course and handbook feels like ‘the missing link’ in providing the tools to grow kindness and compassion to myself more effectively… this, in turn, is helping me to reduce inner negativity ( which is so often debilitating) and to feel happier, more resilient and more aligned with and living by my deepest values.
I cannot speak highly enough of either the MSC course, the tutors or of the value of the book-club to explore the material more deeply. The personal sharing among participants of the book club, the input from the tutors and the sense of mutual warmth and encouragement for our difficulties/triumphs has been beautiful to be part of. If you would like help to become a better friend to yourself, these courses offer you life-long tools to enable just that!

What I loved about the book club was that I got to explore the hugely beneficial and life changing practices of Mindful Self Compassion, with a group of dedicated and supportive like-minded people, under the loving and nurturing guidance of Liz and Kathryn. A must for anyone! Gabriella, Manager
I honestly found the book club so incredibly helpful! Some days my inner ‘compassionate voice’ is actually at a level I can hear which is a huge shift for me… it feels much more manageable now! A large part of that is the workbook of course, but more than that the modelling of the ‘loving connected presence’ that you and Liz demonstrated throughout the course and in all of your interactions with the group and each other.
