Kathryn Lovewell is an award winning international speaker, trainer, and Mindful Self-Compassion teacher. She a passionate about MSC having trained with Kristin Neff PhD, world leading expert in self-compassion. She has been teaching meditation and self-inquiry since 2006, having qualified as a Journey™ Therapist with Brandon Bays, internationally acclaimed mind/body healing expert.
For over a decade she has combined meditation, mindful awareness and therapeutic practices to create self-development programmes to inspire emotional health and wellbeing. She has trained children and teens in care, young offenders, students, teachers, senior leaders, corporate professionals and even prisoners. The extraordinary life-changing results of her Mindful Stress Management programme for men in prison demonstrates the potency of her compassionate teaching approach and the transformational qualities of meditation and self-inquiry.
Kathryn is the author of the bestselling book Every Teacher Matters; Inspiring Wellbeing through Mindfulness; co-author of The Positive Edge Journal, Founder of KindMind Academy and co-founder of The Teacher Sanctuary – a global online wellbeing resource for teachers.
She is an international speaker and trainer, working with organisations such as NHS England, the National Union of Teachers, Australian Independent Schools, the Institute of Education and The Museum of Happiness. She is an enthusiastic teacher having taught in mainstream secondary schools and in the community for over 20 years. Kathryn maintains a prestigious private practice at The Inner Journey Clinic in Harley Street, London and continues to develop her knowledge and practice with innovative modalities such as Access Consciousness®.
Kathryn is the proud mum of two gorgeous teenage boys, lives with her inspirational partner Liz and fervently believes mindful self-compassion is pivotal to mind-health and happiness.
Julia Sweetman is a Trained MSC Teacher, a Nutritional Therapist and a Reflexologist. In addition to her own private clinic, she lectures in Nutritional Therapy for the Irish Institute of Nutrition and Health (IINH). She has a BA (Hons) degree in Business and had a successful career as a Senior Manager for a large Health and Beauty Retailer before changing career paths! She now teaches about health and wellness.
Julia trained as a Nutritional Therapist in 2005 after personal experience of the positive impact of food and nutrition in overcoming a serious illness. She then discovered the power of Mindful Self Compassion after attending a 5-day intensive training in Ireland in 2015. During the training she had many “light bulb” moments about the strength of the MSC work and how it has the potential to empower herself, her clients and the students she teaches. She is particularly interested in exploring how MSC can support those in a caregiving role.
