The 5 day Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) Intensive Training is in an empirically-supported course designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion. It is based on ground-breaking research by Kristin Neff, integrated with the clinical perspective of Christopher Germer. MSC teaches core principles and practices that enable participants to respond to difficult moments in their lives with kindness, care and compassion.
Self-compassion can be learned by anyone. No previous meditation, mindfulness or compassion practice is required. All that is necessary is a willingness to be as open as you can; to explore MSC skills gently and at your own pace.
Training activities include formal meditation, informal practices, educational discourse, experiential exercises and group discussion. Participants will directly experience self-compassion and learn practices that evoke self-compassion in their daily life.
MSC provides emotional strength and resilience, allowing us to acknowledge our imperfections, helps us to begin motivating ourselves with kindness, learn to be more forgiving of ourselves, relate more easily to others, and live more authentically in our own skin.
