Trish Magyari and Jennifer Stanley are happy to offer another residential silent retreat for women highlighting practices from Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) at Pearlstone Retreat Center. This teacher-led intensive silent retreat is perfect for MSC graduates, graduates of MSC Core Skills training, as well as other mindfulness practitioners including MBSR graduates who are familiar with lovingkindness and other compassion practices. Strengthen your ability to be present with yourself just as you are, with kindness and care with expert guidance by an experienced retreat leader and in a compassionate community of others.
This 6- night Silent retreat fulfills the prerequisite for MSC teacher training and other Mindfulness-Based interventions such as MBSR and MBCT as well as the MMTCP. This retreat is also open to all who want to deepen their connection with mindfulness and compassion practice.
The philosophy of mindful self-compassion will be woven throughout the retreat in both what we are doing and how we are working with the retreat experience. This includes daily practice with the inquiry, “What do I need right now?. The daily schedule includes guided and silent sitting and walking meditation, mindful movement/gentle yoga, daily sense and savor walk outdoors, body scan, lovingkindness meditation, other compassion practices, and teaching focused on applying self-compassion in daily life. Individual and group inquiry sessions with teachers are included.
Note: This silent retreat is *not* appropriate for those in a current mental health crisis, those with unresolved trauma or with serious untreated or unregulated mental health conditions. It is an excellent option for experienced mindfulness and/or self-compassion practitioners (those with previous silent retreat experience); or MSC or MBSR graduates; or those in a mindfulness or self-compassion teaching training track.
