This is our 8th Nourish! Mindfulness and Self-Compassion Silent Retreat for women designed to meet the MSC teacher training requirements. The retreat will be held on-line in Eastern Time Zone (New York – U.S.).
The philosophy of mindful self-compassion will be woven throughout the retreat in both what we are doing and how we are working with the retreat experience including extensive practice with the inquiry, “What do I need right now?” Strengthen your ability to be present with yourself just as you are, with kindness and care with expert guidance by experienced retreat leaders and in a compassionate community of other women. All of the MSC core practices and informal practices will be guided during the retreat, led by three Insight Meditation teachers trained under Tara Brach, PhD, two of whom are MSC teachers. All gender-identified women are welcome.
Soak up the nourishment! Daily schedule includes guided and silent sitting and walking meditation, mindful movement, sense and savor walks in nature, body scan, lovingkindness meditation, compassion practices, and teaching focused on applying self-compassion, especially finding the balance between giving and receiving. While extended silent retreats are not recommended for those with acute or destabilizing trauma histories, the retreat will be led in a trauma-sensitive manner with small groups and one-on-one teacher meetings built into the retreat., and the opportunity to meet the teachers before the retreat begins.
Self-scholarship rate begins at $215US for self-scholarship rate; regular sliding scale begins at $365. Fees include admin, tech support and managment; a free-will (dana) offering will be available at the end of the retreat.
