About the Facilitators:
Judy Long is an out-patient palliative care chaplain (neurology and oncology) at UCSF, and an educator with the UCSF MERI Center for Education in Palliative Care. She is a teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT senior teacher), Resiliency for People with Serious Illness, and Sustainable Caregiving for their Care Partners. She offers special presentations on request. Judy also serves on the Chaplaincy Council at Insight Meditation Center.

Hilary Borison is a trained teacher in Mindful Self-Compassion and Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness, a trained Hakomi practitioner, and graduate of the Sati Center Chaplaincy Program which she applies in her peer grief support work at Kara. Since 2004 she has practiced mindfulness at Insight Meditation Center in Redwood City where she facilitates the Women’s Circle of Mindfulness, and serves as a mentor in the 8FoldPath Program
