The Mindful Self-Compassion Short Course is an empirically- supported abbreviated version of the 8 week Mindful Self-Compassion course. This adaptation offers participants 60-90minute weekly sessions to reduce the time commitment and teach informal resources for treating ourselves when we are challenged, the way we naturally treat those we care about when they are struggling.
In research conducted in 2019, this program which was adapted originally for healthcare professionals was found to significantly decrease depression, stress, secondary traumatic stress and burnout, and to increase self-compassion, mindfulness, compassion for others, and job satisfaction in healthcare professionals.
