The 8 week Change Through Compassion Workshop is based on the Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program developed by Kristin Neff, PhD and Chris Germer, PhD. Research on self-compassion has shown that it boosts happiness, reduces anxiety and depression, and can even help maintain healthy lifestyle habits such as diet and exercise.
The Workshop meets Thursdays from 6pm-8:30pm starting April 18 through June 6, plus a Retreat from 10am-1:30pm on May 18. Change Through Compassion is a compassion skills building program rather than solely being focused on meditation, and provides participants with the opportunity to develop the practices through an emphasis on experiential learning.
For participants who are interested in pursuing teacher training in the MSC program, completion of this program is a requirement.
The tuition for participants is $350. We are able to offer 24 American Psychological Association – approved CE’s for attending the workshop, at an additional processing fee of $65.
