Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an empirically-supported 8-week training programme designed to help us cultivate the skill of self-compassion.

This course supports participants in learning to

  • practice self-compassion in daily life
  • understand the evidence-based benefits of being more compassionate
  • motivate yourself with kindness rather than self-criticism
  • handle difficult emotions with greater ease
  • transform challenging relationships, old and new
  • manage caregiver fatigue
  • appreciate and enjoy what is good in life

More than anything this course helps transform life-long patterns of self-criticism, enabling you to develop more kindly ways of relating to yourself and to others.

The course includes guided meditation practices, short talks, experiential exercises, group discussion and home practices. Participants are supported to directly experience self-compassion and learn practices to embed this in daily life.
