Eight weeks is an ideal amount of time to learn new habits of self-compassion supported by an ongoing group experience. Participants have the opportunity to reexamine outdated beliefs and habits and to learn how to motivate themselves with kindness instead of criticism. Mindful Self-Compassion is a great way to soothe yourself in times of stress and to increase both healthy habits and relationship satisfaction.
No prior meditation is necessary; the meditations offered here are supportive for learning to meditate as well as enhancing an existing practice. In addition to exploring the principles of Mindful Self-Compassion, participants engage in group discussions, experiential exercises and home practices. This course is offered in our North Berkeley home. Meeting with a small group of like-minded people is a wonderful way to learn to become your own best friend.
We will have a 4 hour retreat on March 10.
