Do you find yourself being overly self-critical? Anxious? Feeling not quite good enough? Annoyed? Distressed at the hard time you are giving yourself?
‘…. and the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.’ – Anais Nin
The Mindful Self-Compassion program teaches the skills of motivating oneself with compassion, mindfulness and kindness rather than harsh self-criticism. Learning to encourage and care for yourself in the same way you would a loved one – no more or no less. This empirically supported experiential program is based on the groundbreaking research of Kristin Neff and the clinical expertise of Chris Germer, and can enable participants to transform their relationship with themselves.
Tina co-teaches these programs with Peter Gibson, bringing a wonderful balance to the teaching. As well as being a trained MSC Teacher and Counsellor, Pete has years of experience in the building industry and a deep understanding of the difficulties men face both with the inner critic and self-kindness.
This 8-week program is open to adults of any age.
The retreat session is either Saturday the 3rd of June or the 1st of July at the Sophia venue. Please note there is no Thursday evening session on June 8th.
