Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an 8-week class designed to cultivate the skills of self-compassion. Based on the work of Drs. Kristin Neff and Chris Germer and the UCSD Mindfulness Center, MSC teaches core principles and practices that help participants respond to difficult moments in their lives with self-kindness, mindful awareness, and a deeper understanding that suffering is part of our common humanity. Class sessions include guided meditation, short talks, experiential exercises, group discussion, and home practices.
