We are incredibly lucky to be joined by Laila Narsi, who was one of the first international teachers to be trained in Mindful Self-Compassion so brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, as well as her warm-hearted presence.
As Laila is based in Texas, and Lucy in England, this course promises to have a diverse and global group – a rich part of the practice can be to understand that common humanity extends beyond seas and boundaries.
Laila Narsi is a certified Mindful Self-Compassion teacher, and practicing psychotherapist. She has had the pleasure of being directly trained by distinguished world renowned teachers including Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, Kristin Neff, Chris Germer, and His Holiness The Dalai Lama. In addition to being a practicing psychotherapist, she teaches classes on mindfulness, conducts workshops, participates in public service videos on mental health, and volunteers in the community.
Lucy Chan teaches mindfulness, self-compassion and Buddhism internationally. She was trained directly by the internationally renowned pioneers of self-compassion Kristin Neff and Chris Germer, and she co-created the Self-Compassion programme for the nationally acclaimed mindfulness charity The Sharpham Trust. She also works as a doctor in the NHS; self-compassion practices helped her meet the challenges of a stressful job and her passion is to help others incorporate these practices into their lives. She recently delivered a TEDx talk on Fierce Compassion that you can watch on the official TED website.
