An event every day that begins at 10:00 am, repeating until May 21, 2019
“Caring for ourselves with kindness & compassion, with all that our parenting journey brings…”
Mindful Self-compassion (MSC) is an evidenced-based training program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion. Based on the research of Kristin Neff, PhD and the clinical expertise of Christopher Germer, PhD, MSC teaches core principles and practices for responding to difficult moments in our lives with kindness, care and understanding, while recognizing the shared nature of human suffering.
MSC for parents is an opportunity to learn how to soften towards ourselves … to our challenges and emotional moments as parents. As we begin to soften towards our experiences, we can more easily empathize and soften with our children, and think more clearly about how to support them through their difficult emotional and off-track moments. MSC has been shown to nurture resilience, decrease parenting stress, help parents manage difficult emotions with greater ease, and improve parent-child relationships.
