Course Navigation

We invite you to join us for this weekend retreat and immersion into the core principles and practices of mindful self-compassion, so you can learn to better relate to and care for yourself, both physically and emotionally.   The venue, Bethlehem Centre, offers beautiful gardens and forests, peaceful trails, a mindful walking labyrinth and nourishing whole foods.  It will hold us beautifully while together we take a deep dive into mindfulness and self-compassion practice.

Cultivating self-compassion can fundamentally shift how we relate to ourselves. Instead of meeting our imperfections and challenges with self-blame and -criticism, we can bring a kind and mindful attention to our experiences (thoughts, emotions, and sensations) and a sense of love and care to ourselves, right in the midst of difficult situations. With practice, we can strengthen this inner quality of presence, connectedness, and kindness to improve emotional well-being and build resilience.

Research has shown that these techniques can help improve our emotional well-being, improve our ability to cope with life’s challenges, lower levels of anxiety and depression, promote healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and lead to more satisfying personal relationships.

Please join us.

We are experienced meditators, mindful self-compassion practitioners, trained/certified Mindful Self-Compassion teachers and heart sisters.   We have been teaching together for many years and incorporating much of our other training in the areas of trauma informed mindfulness, embodied practice and socially engaged buddhism into our personal practice, life work and workshops.
