Self-compassion is a way of relating to yourself with kindness, care, and support, especially when you’re stressed or upset. For many of us, that doesn’t come as easily as we might expect. Being hard on yourself may seem necessary to succeed in life, but studies suggest just the opposite: self-compassion is a more productive and healthier approach than self-criticism. A growing body of research indicates that self-compassion has many benefits, including happiness, well-being, creativity, and satisfying relationships, while experiencing less anxiety and depression.
We teach the Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) Short Course, an evidence-based program designed to meet the needs of busy people that imparts core principles and skills of self-compassion. The goal of the course is to directly experience self-compassion and bring it into your daily life.
