How do you treat yourself when you are struggling? If you are like most people, the answer is often not very kindly. Make space to learn and practice the skills of self-compassion. MSC is a skills-training series where the goal is for participants to directly experience self-compassion and learn practices that evoke self-compassion in daily life. Program activities include meditation, short talks, experiential exercises, group discussion, and home practices. Self-compassion provides emotional strength and resilience, allowing us to admit our shortcomings, motivate ourselves with kindness, forgive ourselves when needed, relate wholeheartedly to others, and be more authentically ourselves.
This course meets for 8 weeks, 3 hours per week, on Zoom. Our retreat will be held on May 23rd, 10a-2p.
