Discover your best ally is you! Through art, games, movement, and self-compassion activities learn how to treat yourself with kindness and appreciation and balance the emotional ups and downs at school, home and socially with greater ease.

Adolescence is a time of change and growth. It is a period of life reserved for self-discovery, but as the demands in life increase for teens, this time is often fraught with insecurity, pressure and confusion. For many teens these challenges lead to increased vulnerability and feeling misunderstood. This course in mindful self-compassion cultivates healthy-awareness, self-kindness and a stronger sense of social connectedness in response to these emerging challenges. The outcome is less self-judgement, improved self-confidence, and better means to manage stress. This program creates an opportunity for teens to construct a healthier world-view and gives rise to greater compassion and empathy toward self and others.

A teen participant summarized what they’d gained as, “I always feel that I have to have someone else to prove that I can do things. But I have myself, and that is someone!”
