Mindful Self-Compassion is a skills based course, proven to increase emotional resilience and decrease depression, anxiety and stress. Teachers Colleen O’Brien, LCPC, and Staci Berman, LMFT, are both Trained Teachers of Mindful Self-Compassion (currently pursuing certification), trauma informed mental health therapists, and facilitate this work with thoughtfulness. Participants are taught how to be responsible for their own emotional safety and are asked to do this throughout the Course, with the help of the teachers and the group as a whole. Colleen and Staci have taught this course 7 times, to over 100 people. Participants have been from all backgrounds – even different countries! – and the feedback has ranged from “this was good” to “this was life changing”.
