In this course, Emily guides participants in how to integrate Mindfulness and Self Compassion in a real way that has been life-transforming for many. The Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program was developed by Kristin Neff, a pioneering researcher in the field of self-compassion (www.Self-Compassion.org) and Christopher Germer, PhD. Research has shown that self-compassion greatly enhances emotional well-being. It boosts happiness, reduces anxiety and depression, and can even help maintain healthy lifestyle habits such as diet and exercise.

Most of us feel compassion when a close friend is struggling. What would it be like to receive the same caring attention whenever you needed it most? All that’s required is shift in the direction of our attention—recognizing that as a human being, you, too, are a worthy recipient of compassion.

In this program, you’ll learn:

how to stop being so hard on yourself
how to handle difficult emotions with greater ease
how to motivate yourself with encouragement rather than criticism
how to transform difficult relationships, both old and new
mindfulness and self-compassion practices for home and everyday life
compassionate body movements
the theory and research behind mindful self-compassion
how to become your own best teacher
A randomized, controlled trial demonstrated that the MSC program significantly increased self-compassion, compassion for others, mindfulness, and life satisfaction, as well as decreased depression, anxiety and stress. Improvements were linked to how much a person practiced mindfulness and self-compassion in their daily lives.

Official receipts are provided as psychotherapist or social worker and 24 CE credits are available with the Order of Quebec Psychologists for this course.

Emily Moody (MSW, MFT, MA) is a psychotherapist and couple/family therapist with a longstanding private practice that blends mindfulness-based approach with classical psychotherapy. She has participated in mindfulness training under the direction of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, and has been teaching the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course for 8 years. Emily is the author of Thai Yoga Therapy for Your Body Type and has taught mindfulness courses at various educational and health institutes across Montreal. Emily is the process of becoming a Certified MSC teacher under the supervision of Michelle Becker.

Om 2019 goed te starten bieden Marlou Kleve en Mila de Koning de mogelijkheid om deel te nemen aan een mindful zelfcompassie intensive training. Deze training biedt de gelegenheid om in een prachtige, rustgevende, voedende omgeving jezelf op te laden voor het nieuwe jaar.

Vier dagen de tijd nemen voor zelfzorg en zelfcompassie, ruimte en rust, openheid en verbinding. Om zo in contact te komen met wie jij bent, wat jij belangrijk vindt en hoe je het komend jaar daar ruimte voor kunt maken. Dit doen we in de Hoorneboeg, een prachtige locatie op de Hoorneboegse heide midden in het bos. De Hoorneboeg is een rijksmonument dat recentelijk is verbouwd. Het heeft een moderne, warme en luxe uitstraling. De sfeer is warm en persoonlijk. Het eten is met zorg samengesteld, biologisch en zoveel mogelijk zelf gekweekt.

Op de aankomstdag ontvangen we je vanaf 16.30. Je hebt dan de tijd om je te installeren op je kamer. Om 17.30 starten we met een gezamenlijke avondmaaltijd. Om 19.00 starten we de training met een kort avondprogramma. Op deze aankomstdag besteden we tijd aan het voorstellen, introductie van het programma en we zullen de basis van het beoefenen van zelfcompassie bespreken.

De rest van de dagen besteden we aan het leren beoefenen van zelfzorg en zelfcompassie op de vele verschillende gebieden van ons leven.

Je leert om:
– goed voor jezelf te zorgen
– jezelf op een bemoedigende manier te ondersteunen
– je zelf te motiveren met compassie in plaats van met zelfkritiek
– op een zelfcompassievolle wijze om te gaan met moeilijke gevoelens
– aandacht te geven aan dat wat voor jou echt belangrijk is
– compassievol te blijven in uitdagende relaties
– ook is er tijd om te wandelen, te rusten en te genieten van de omgeving en de rust
