This is a one day retreat that will take place at our flower farm just beyond Portland Oregon in the suburb community of Bonny Slope, Oregon. Over the course of the day, participants will learn and apply the key components of mindfulness self-compassion that can help us all cultivate a kinder relationship with ourselves and those around us. These techniques can increase our emotional strength and resilience in a world that can often leave us feeling unworthy of true love and joy in our lives. The good news is that we are all worthy and beautiful beings, we just need the right tools to fight against self-doubt and the cycles of unworthy thoughts that we can all get stuck in at times!

We will also be discussing how making space in our lives for creative expression can be deeply healing and heart-softening. When we give ourselves permission to create without being productivity-driven, it can tap into a deep joy that some of us haven’t felt since we were children. We will get a chance to play with flowers from the farm and each create something beautiful and unique- simply for the sake of creating!

The retreat will last from 9am-4pm, with a light lunch provided midday.

This retreat will be led by Julie Thompson and HaLee Thompson. Julie a Licensed Professional Counselor and certified Mindful Self-Compassion teacher who has been a teaching mindfulness classes since 2010. She currently works in the village of Bethel, Alaska where she is a clinician at the YKHC Ayagnirvik Healing Center. HaLee runs Moonstone Farm & Floral and will be leading the creative flower practice piece of the retreat. She will be sharing techniques for creating and designing wearable floral pieces.
