Mindful Self-Compassion for therapists
Sat 14th July 2018

The ability to recover from difficult situations and adversity, learn and adapt from such experiences, is at the core of the resilience. This resilience is promoted by the willingness to try again and adapt when circumstances warrant it, and is facilitated by having a caring and compassionate attitude to the self.
Mindful Self-Compassion centres on learning skills of cultivating mindful presence and a compassionate self which can counter the ‘inner critic’. By developing skills such as compassionate listening, compassionate self, mindful presence and more, participants gain skills in emotional regulation, ability to be compassionately with an other’s distress and increased wellbeing and resilience.
This workshop introduces the core skills of the Mindful Self-Compassion course in a day that consists of both didactic theoretical teaching and experiential exercises. The participants will learn new skills and techniques which may help them in their practice as well as exercises that can be used with clients.
