This day provides the opportunity to ‘retreat’ in a positive sense from the busyness of everyday life – to experience a range of guided practices throughout the day in a safe and nurturing environment. Participants often find their experience of mindfulness and compassion substantially richer during these events. Parts of the day are held in quietness, interwoven with opportunities to reflect and share together as well.
One day retreats are for anyone who has attended a course either with us or elsewhere, or who is already familiar with mindfulness practice and would like to spend a day going a little deeper.
All equipment is provided (yoga mats, cushions, blankets etc) but please feel free to bring your own if you prefer. It is advisable to wear comfy layers of clothing for ease of movement and to adjust for temperature throughout the day. Depending on weather there will also be opportunities to spend some time out of doors in the beautiful surroundings of the Meon Valley – so please bring appropriate shoes and coat if necessary. Drinks, biscuits etc are provided. Please bring a packed lunch – something you’ll really enjoy!
