We are living through some unpredictable, changing, and challenging time, especially in 2020. It feels more important now then before to take care of ourselves to manage the stress, intense emotions, economic hardships, difficulty in relationships, and sometimes trauma.
Self-Compassion provides emotional strength and resilience, allowing us to admit our shortcomings, forgive ourselves, relate to others and be more authentically ourselves.

This Online Virtual 8-Week MSC Course (offered on Zoom) will be co-led by experienced teachers Laila Narsi, LCSW, CMMT (based in the US) and Lucy Chan, MD (based in UK). We will be offering it August 7th through September 25th on Fridays from 12:30pm-3:00pm CDT/1:30-4:00pm EDT. Early Bird price is $325 (Register by July 10), regular price is $375.
Laila Narsi, LCSW, CMMT is a Certified Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher as well as a Making Friends With Yourself (MFY is a course in MSC for Teens) Trained Teacher. In addition, she is Psychotherapist in private practice since 1997 specializing in stress, trauma, and mood. Ms. Narsi has been teaching mindfulness since 2000 and trained in MSC in 2014 directly by Dr. Kristin Neff and Dr. Christopher Germer who are the founders of Mindful Self-Compassion. In 2019, she received her Certification as Mindfulness Meditation Teacher directly by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach.
Lucy Chan, MD is a mindfulness and Mindful Self-Compassion teacher who leads retreats across the UK. She also works as a doctor and knows first hand the pressures of daily life and the ever present threat of burn-out. Self-compassion practices helped her meet the challenges of a stressful job and her passion is to help others incorporate these practices into their lives.
