Choosing to spend time on one of our residential weekends provides a rare opportunity to let go of everyday routines and really give yourself to being with your immediate experience over a longer time period. Our weekends offer a blend of mindfulness and self-compassion practices which provide the support necessary to explore how we might relate to ourselves more wholeheartedly and more kindly. The weekend format allows for periods of quiet practice and times to share reflections with one another. We also weave in regular periods in nature which really supports a depth of connection, reflection and well-being.
The weekend is fully residential with delightful accommodation and nutritious catering. The environment is really supportive of our practice with a welcoming and comfortable place to stay, beautiful grounds and surrounding countryside.
Arrival and orientation is late on Friday afternoon followed by a rich weekend of guided practice and exercises in good company. The spacious timetable allows time for quiet reflection as well as deep engagement in structured group activities. Departure is late Sunday afternoon.
Who is the weekend for?
Participants may have taken a mindfulness and/or self-compassion training and are least likely to have some familiarity with this field. Some may also have been immersed in this area for a long time. The weekend is suitable for a variety of levels of experience so please do get in touch if you’re not sure. The main pre-requisite is a curiosity and willingness to explore how to engage with experience with greater awareness, kindness and within the wider context of our place in the natural world.
