The Power of Now by Eckart Tolle is a life-changing book! It is so powerful, we could spend the rest of our lives exploring and practising the teachings! Join us to connect more deeply with yourself and your self-compassion practice.
You are not alone! Almost everyone we teach struggles to keep their self-compassion alive. Making self-compassion a priority can be really hard, especially when the pressures of work and family life weigh us down. This is why we created The Self-Compassion Book Club!
If you are tired of feeling stuck, fed up with trying on your own, and want to dive into cutting-edge self-compassion, read on!
The Self-Compassion Book Club is a 12 week course offering a welcoming, safe, empathetic and confidential space to explore self-compassion topics. We aim to keep a light-hearted hold on the material, even when it is challenging. We practice self-compassion as we engage in the material!
Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and get curious?
All book clubbers are invited to spend each week reading and experimenting with the material and investigating your responses. When we come together, we share our experiences about what has arisen, what insights have been gleaned and what has challenged us. We get real about the obstacles that we face when we commit to being more self-compassionate.
Are you keen to learn with a bunch of awesome people?
Self-Compassion Book Clubbers commitment is strong. The sharing is intimate and the insights are profound. We learn together. We grow together. We laugh and cry together. It is a delightful way to explore and deepen your self-compassion practice and the most wonderful way to remind yourself of your belonging. We may not have the same point of view, however we benefit deeply by listening and exploring all points of view. This is one of the magic qualities of connecting through our common humanity club.
Are you wanting to feel supported and encouraged as you learn?
Mindful Self-Compassion teachers Kathryn Lovewell and Liz Walker love being part of the self-compassion conversation. Whilst they guide these sessions, there are no ‘experts’, ‘observers’ or ‘teachers’ in the club. Kathryn and Liz are there to host and support the internal and group investigation. Even though they are both highly experienced Mindful Self-Compassion teachers with years of daily practice, they are not teaching or providing therapy in this setting.
All Welcome!
Our Self-Compassion Book Club is open to all. We believe inclusivity and common humanity makes our conversations, broader, richer and more diverse. Everyone is encouraged to share their discoveries, their difficulties and their questions. All participants contribute to our learning. This makes for a very rich and often profound conversation and helps us all grow! Whether you are new to self-compassion or are a seasoned practitioner, you will undoubtedly benefit from this potent coming together of caring, curious hearts and minds.
This is WAY more than a book club! This is an opportunity to learn, share and grow with extraordinary people who are willing to ask questions of the book and of themselves. It is a safe place for personal transformation…
Join us for a book that might just change your life! What a great way to start 2023! Can’t wait to welcome you in xxx
