This full 8-week program is for helping professionals in family service and the school setting. The program is under the collaboration with a self-finance, non-governmental agency providing medical and family services to adolescents, new immigrants, elderly, and those who are coping with chronic illness. The program is for those who wish to learn skills to enhance emotional resilience to deal with compassionate fatigue, and to better cope with the pressing demands in the human service industry through the learning and practice of self-compassion. People with all religious affiliations (or the lack of it) are welcome. No prior experience in mindfulness, or any other form of contemplative practices, is necessary to participate in this program.
