1.5 hour workshop introducing self-compassion for tending to stress in caregivers.
Stress is part and parcel of everyday life, and not all stress is inherently good or bad. Yet, for people who care for others and our nonhuman world there are unique stresses that, left untended to, can build up to burnout and compassion fatigue. The rewards of giving and advocating for the causes we love can feel like they disappear as stress begins to motivate our decisions and actions.
This 1.5 hour workshop will highlight some of the challenges to care-giving and introduce the skill of self-compassion and kindness to act as a soothing balm and wise inner-teacher.
