Immerse yourself in the beautiful practices of self-compassion and loving-kindness, in the setting of a stunning dedicated retreat space based in the peaceful countryside; learn and experience these transformative practices all within a supportive sense of community.
This 2 night residential retreat is suitable for all levels of experience. We go beyond mindfulness to help you develop resilience and self-care.
Friday 8th July – Sunday 10th July 2022, near Godalming, Surrey.
This retreat has the benefit of being taught by Lucy (MSC certified teacher) and Ethan (MSC teacher), two experienced facilitators who both bring a wealth of knowledge, and a gentle lightheartedness too!
Lucy is an experienced certified Mindful Self-Compassion teacher who trained directly under the internationally renowned pioneers of self-compassion Kristin Neff and Chris Germer. She teaches globally and also co-created the Self-Compassion programme for the nationally acclaimed mindfulness charity The Sharpham Trust. She also works as a doctor in the NHS; self-compassion practices helped her meet the challenges of a stressful job and her passion is to help others incorporate these practices into their lives. In 2021, she delivered a TEDx talk on Fierce Compassion that you can watch on the official TED website. Her work has been featured in Stylist Magazine and the Daily Telegraph.
Ethan is a Mindful Self-Compassion teacher who has been facilitating mindfulness groups and retreats for over a decade. He currently teaches mindfulness, self-compassion and Buddhism at the nationally acclaimed Sharpham Trust, and local meditation groups across the UK. He was one of the founding members of Wake Up London, a still thriving community of young meditators (aged 18-35). He spent five years training at Plum Village with the internationally recognised mindfulness teacher & Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.
