About the Facilitators
Hilary Borison is a trained teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion through the UCSD Center for Mindfulness and is a graduate of the Sati Center Chaplaincy Program which she applies in her peer grief support work at Kara. Since 2004 she has practiced mindfulness at Insight Meditation Center in Redwood City where she facilitates the Women’s Circle of Mindfulness, leads the Family Program, and serves as a mentor in the Eightfold Path Program.

Liz Fitzgerald is a fellow human being who is continually deepening their commitment to bringing awake, kind presence to all aspects of their life. They are a graduate of the Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher Training program and have spent many hours as a compassionate companion to hospital patients as a volunteer chaplain and now as a clinical social worker set to graduate from the Smith College School for Social Work in August. They are inspired by the many ways compassion manifests itself in our word with all its gentleness and strength.
