  • MSC Trained Teacher

I am an outpatient psychotherapist working at the Women's Mental Health Collective in Cambridge, MA. I have a meditation practice in the Insight (Vipassana) tradition and think of myself as a student of mindfulness. I am passionate about teaching mindful self-compassion!

I am a lifelong resident of Massachusetts and am from an Italian/Irish background. My meditation practice developed after I sat beside a dear friend as she died of a rare cancer. Her journey towards death was held in a path of love due to her meditation practice. I always told her "Italians can't meditate" given my sometimes restless temperament. She persisted and I am eternally grateful to her. I was trained in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program and wove mindfulness into my life as a parent of three young children and my psychotherapy practice. I was trained by Chris Germer and Kristen Neff in Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) and felt that my life personally and professionally were coming together. Teaching MSC felt like a natural next step. I feel privileged to love what I do and to share this meaningful practice.

Learning about mindfulness transforms personal growth experiences whether done in counseling, recovery programs or religious communities to a deeper level. Teaching and practicing mindful self-compassion has provided me with deep inspiration and has helped me to develop a strong refuge within. I am excited to share this with the community!
