Cassondra Graff, M.S., LCSW is a Certified teacher, trainer, mentor and consultant of Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). She holds a Certificate of Competence in Teaching MBSR, Proficient/Advanced via MBI TAC, from Bangor University.
Cassondra developed the Self-Compassion Mentor and Affinity Group facilitator positions for the
Center for Mindful Self-Compassion (CMSC) a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; creating ethical, inclusive and compassionate guidelines to serve a diverse range of participants and optimize the learning of MSC principles, practices and teachings.
She is a Certified Consultation Group Leader for the CMSC Self-Compassion in Psychotherapy (SCIP) 30+ week, yearly program.
Cassondra taught MBSR for a long-range National Institutes of Health (NIH) research study at UCSD evaluating the potential benefits of mindfulness in the senior aging process and is the founder of the Speakers Bureau at UCSD.
Cassondra received her Master’s degree from Columbia University in New York and is a licensed psychotherapist in California.
With over 22 years of experience as a mental health practitioner she also mentored therapists for the California state licensing exam.
Cassondra's work as a mental health professional transformed over the years, becoming mindfulness and compassion based.
She offers Mindfulness and Compassion Training in the USA and worldwide, and is currently based in Arizona.
When asked why she does this work, she replied “I cannot, not do this work. It is tied to the way I live, truths I cannot deny. It is a joy to witness us humans discover our own strengths and capacities, and in this, become more alive and thrive!".
