Eileen Beltzner SCC BA MSW RSW
I have rich experiences and adventures as a clinician, as a student learning my craft, as a wife, mother, Nana and a happy and sometimes suffering human being. My MSC adventure began, when along with my husband Rainer, we experienced the benefits of the MSC training program because we were struggling in our personal life. MSC really helped us and we wanted to pass it on to others in Canada. We both became Certified MSC Teachers and are currently on the Faculty for the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto, Canada. We teach the 9-week MSC version and the 5-day MSC intensive to all sorts of wonderful people. In September 2018 we will be teaching the 9 week in Oakville, ON Canada too. We offer MSC Booster sessions to our MSC Graduates and are planning to have 1-day Silent Retreats in the future.
I am a Special Care Counsellor, Published Researcher, Registered Social Worker, Child and Family Therapist, Psychotherapist, MBCT Facilitator, Certified Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher, Making Friends with Yourself Teen Teacher and Author of, "The Handbook for First-Time Parents. My latest book, "How to Tame the Tumbles the Mindful Self-Compassionate Way (for Parents and Children)" has a publication date of Winter/Spring 2019 - Mosaic Press, Canada.
In my forty year professional career, I developed a number of specialty areas some of which are: trauma recovery, empathy fatigue (recovery and prevention), postpartum and other mood challenges, bereavement and anxiety. I have been incorporating Mindful Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) practices into my private work with teachers, health-care professionals and other clients since 2009.
I strongly believe that all parents will find the MSC training to be a mighty force to draw upon as they care for all the developing human beings entrusted to their care and even for their children who are now adults. I teach all the adult MSC offerings with Rainer; our participants tell us that they enjoy our two very different perspectives.
I will be teaching the Making Friends with Yourself (MFY), the adapted MSC teen program in Oakville, ON Canada with another MFY teacher in the near future. For more information about the MFY Oakville offering please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
