Kim is a Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher, Group Facilitator and SEM Coach.
In 2015 Kim discovered the gift of mindful self-compassion, providing her with much needed inner strength and resources to take good care of herself when going through a particularly difficult time. Realizing the tremendous benefit these practices can bring to one’s daily life, health and happiness, she went on to train as an MSC teacher in 2016 and now weaves MSC into all aspects of her personal and professional life.
Kim joined the Center for MSC in 2017 as the Teacher Relations Manager and held that position for 3 years, supporting MSC teachers to train in, and teach, MSC worlwide. At the end of 2020, as wildfires raged across the west coast of the US, she was offered a position as a Strategic Energy Management Coach and now helps businesses transform their organizational culture and adopt more energy-efficient practices. She continues to consult for CMSC, teaches a weekly meditation class online (through Pause Meditation) and offers MSC courses and workshops year-round. In addition, Kim has 10 years experience delivering leadership and development training in education and wilderness therapy programs.
Originally from the UK, Kim worked and travelled across the globe for several years before making her home in Portland, Oregon.
Practicing self-acceptance and self-love is an ongoing learning journey which she enjoys practicing and sharing with others, with as much courage she can muster!
