Miyen Low is a Clinical Psychologist and Trained Teacher of Mindful Self-compassion (MSC) since 2016. She has been one of Malaysia’s foremost proponents of the application of psychology for individual, couple, family, workplace and community for more than 25 years, providing psychotherapy, psychological assessment, coaching, training and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) which she pioneered since 1999. She has been conducting mindfulness-based interventions since 2012 and her keen interest areas are mindfulness and self-compassion based interventions in managing stress, burnout and building self-resiliency. Miyen has professional membership in Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology (MSCP), Malaysian Psychiatric Association (MPA) and Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA). She is currently the Vice-President of Malaysia Association for Mindfulness Practice and Research (MMPR) and one of the Board Members of Asia Pacific Employee Assistance Roundtable (APEAR). Over the years, her work has been featured by various local newspapers, magazines, TV and radio and she was a regular guest for 4 years on a local TV station - NTV7, a women’s show called "Bella".
