Course Description:

The Self-Compassion Training for Healthcare Communities (SCHC) is a 6-hour, evidence-based adaptation of the empirically supported Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program developed by Dr. Kristin Neff (UT Austin) and Dr. Chris Germer (Harvard Medical School). This training is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of healthcare professionals by integrating self-compassion skills into the fast-paced, emotionally demanding healthcare environment.

Self-Compassion for Healthcare Communities Facilitator Training is a 7-session experiential program with a mix of didactic, small and large group exercises designed to help attendees learn basic skills for teaching the SCHC curriculum in healthcare settings. This program introduces theory, practices, and research of self-compassion to deliver the 6-hour Self-Compassion for Healthcare Communities (SCHC) Training course, a trauma-informed, therapeutic mindfulness and self-compassion-based intervention.

She loves to practice the art of savoring nature, to hike, swim, and dance to embody these transformative practices in shared community.
