Meet Your Workshop Host:
Robyn L. Gobin, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist, tenured professor, and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) teacher dedicated to helping individuals and marginalized communities care for themselves—mind, body, and spirit. She is the author of several books on self-care that integrate mindful self-compassion as a sustainable path to well-being.
Robyn is a Qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teacher and has received extensive training through the UC San Diego Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute and the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. She brings a trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens to her teaching, and has led mindfulness and self-compassion courses in community, university, and healthcare settings—both in person and online.
In addition to facilitating group-based courses, Robyn integrates mindful self-compassion into her clinical work with individuals and couples. She is passionate about teaching MSC because she believes it empowers people to cultivate meaningful lives and nurturing relationships with themselves and others
